First Week in Long Island - Primeira semana em Long Island
Hello Guys,
Today I came with more information about my first week in Long Island, New York, for people that wanna know more how is to be an au pair in the USA and also discover more about this place where I'm living now.
My week started at 11:30am on Monday and I worked with some errands inside the house, once my new host kids are adolescent and sportive, what makes them spend a lot of time in the activities in the school.
Generally, I spend around 3 hours to do all the laundry and also clean the deashes, swipe the land on the kitchen and arrange their beds and bedrooms. Once all those duties are done I have my off time. This week was a little hard for me, 'cause my biological watch wasn't in the same time zone I'm now, I was living in Oregon and it is kind of 3 hours of difference from here, what do everything look so early.
I just slept during my off time this week. My body was so tired with every change in the schedule and also the trip that was 7 hours flying from the est coast to the west coast of the USA. I really just slept in my room in the basement (what makes it be so dark and comfy).
The family has 3 kids, two adolescent and one in the middle school. They also have two dogs (brown Labradoodles) a female and male ones. They are so cute and I feel that they already love me hahaha!
I spent a lot of time with the dogs, what made us closer to each other. I need to fill the dogs food and also put them to go outside (backyard) just to prevent they pee inside the house. Sometimes they drive me crazy when every 10 minutes they are asking me to put them out, and then after 15 minutes, they ask me to put them inside. Ouch.
Aiiiiin.
During the week I dropped the adolescent off the school and I received the youngest at home when he arrived by bus. I don't use to cook too much like last year, but he likes chicken nuggets and pasta. So it is easy to feed him and also the adolescents that are always ordering food.
Well, it was my first week here with the boys and I really liked it.
Thanks for reading my blog and see'ya soon!

The guys were like "But what are you doing that?", "How can you change something that is going well for something new and uncertain?". Well to tell you the truth: I'm in a phase where everything is worthed. The only thing you need to do is TRY.
I got NY last Sunday, it was September 23rd. I've been living in the US for 1 year now, and finally, I'm ready to share some of my experiences and also dreams for the future in this humble blog.
I will keep it as my personal diary, so somedays I will just stress out, but in others, I will try to bring something goos like tips, recommendations and also experiences from places where I have gone.
My experience:
It was a raining day in NY. I got the JFK airport around 11am and My Host Mom(HM) was waiting for me outside, at the terminal 7. She was driving the car around while waiting for me, once we cannot park and just wait for the arrivals.
We drove for about 45min to get home, and it was so traffic! but at least the flow was good enough to keep us moving all the time.
We got home at the same time as the boys and the host dad (HD), it was a perfect matching. I just greeting everybody at the side door and they brought my luggage to my new room.
I need to confess that the new room is quite small than the last one. I have a tiny closet inside and the bathroom is outside of it. But no complaints about that. In another hand, I got all the basement for myself and it is pretty nice! With a couch and a big TV to play my Nintendo Switch. Oh, and also I got a TV inside my own room, so I can really watch TV this year and improve more my listening and talking.
So on that day I just settled my thing in my room after dinner with the entire family and I got my new schedule starting the next day at 7:30am with the HM. Well, my adventure just started, but I'm already excited about this new year!

Vacation Trip - Los Angeles.

<EN> Hey Guys,
Today I'm here to share with you some of the things I accomplished in LA during my vacation trip!
Frist, when you are planning your vacations, it is good to have in mind what kind of stuff are you looking for to have over there. In my case, I was looking for something cheap and fun. It was my first vacations trip alone in another country/state and it was amazing. Oh yeah!
<PT> Oi Galera,
<EN> I started looking for some hostel/Airbnb but not that I really liked. Two days after starting look for it I found an app called Hostelworld (https://www.hostelworld.com) and I saw such a good hostel in Hollywood Boulevard - Banana Bungalow - I really liked all the lights and the photos on Google Maps. It was the best place ever that I could stay!
>>>>> http://www.bananabungalows.com/
The place is really comfy and cozy. You gonna find good people to hang out with and you are so close to the walk of fame. We also have some attractions around like The Death Museum (it was $17 to come inside, but I don't recommend. I was waiting for something intense with more blood and history, but the museum is full of pictures and some of them are pretty small to see in a proper way).
Day 1 - Saturday, Aug 18
<PT> Dia 1 - Sábado, 18 de Agosto de 2018.
It was such a rushing day! My friends dropped me at the Eugene airport around 130am and my flight was booked to 5am. I waited there the long 330h ahead, but it was worthed.
After getting inside the airplane I was prepared to really take a nap, but you know - air conditioning and jet leg are the basic things that you got while traveling abroad. My bad.
I got Los Angeles around 12pm after my connection in San Francisco. On my way to the Hostel, I got the FlyAway shutter bus (it is $8 dollars and the ride goes to all the terminals in LAX airport). After 1h inside the Shuttle, I got the Walk of Fame close to the Hollywood / Vine Station.
I walked around 10-15min to arrive at the hostel. It was a straight walk through the start curb.
Getting inside I went straight to the office and one thing that really got me on my nerves was the price charged over there. I needed to pay $30 bucks to keep my reservation and I had an amount of $184 pending to be charged at the hostel. The woman over there charged me $194, and when I asked why she told me the hostel charges 5% over the value. I guess it was a little unfair once they didn't say anything on the app.
Well, paid my stay over there I went to my room - 214 - upstairs.
...
* Inside the room and my new group of friends! *
<PT> Dentro do quarto e meu novo grupo de amigos!
When I got into the room it was empty, so I got the chance to go shower and take a nap also.
Well, I will post more about my adventures in Los Angeles soon!
If you like it, please don't let to follow it and check the new chapters!
See'ya soon!

Aweeeeeee finalmente esse dia chegou!
Mal posso esperar pra entrar naquele avião em direção a Los Angeles!
Meu plano é assistir à alguns vídeos no YouTube e deixar minha curiosidade me levar a esses lugares nunca explorados.
Tsai

After 8 months in Eugene, OR
I'd had just gave up of writing about the stuffs that were occuring to me... But today I got some inspiration and I really would love to share with you my thoughts.
You know, when you are writing in a free way, the firts thing that come to your mind is try to explain to yourself your conception about the things that are occuring right now in your own life.
Between one or two Karaokes I just realized that we can have fun alone just being open to talk and discover new things always.
I was that kind of girl that liked sharing everything, till my friends! But right now, I guess I became a little more conservative with my sharing options.
Maybe I'm seeing the things in other way, but the essence still the same.
I passed for a lot of things that really showed me how strong I'm now as person and how it is impacting other people too. The true is: you cannot do the things alone, and everything will impact somebody in someway.
Thinking on this, maybe those crazy dreams can be true and those places you really wish love to visit will be right there when you blink your eyes!

SP CONSUL! I GOT MY VISA APPROVED!
Hello Guys!
I'm here frenetically about my first year as an Au Pair!
Yesterday, 04/AGO, I went to Sao Paulo consulate of USA and I passed for many steps till have my conversation with their American Consul.
First, my interview was booked at 10:10 am. I arrived at the consul at 10 am. The first guard asked me to show my Passport, I did and he asked me to follow the stripes till arrive in the main desk which I found another guard, that asked me to show my passport again and asked me to follow till the first queue.
I don't know how much time I needed to wait in that queue, because you can not enter at the consul bringing with you electronics devices and a lot of things described in a green paper that you got when you went till CASV unit.
When I finally arrived in the hall, the woman asked me to show my DS-2019 (I had two, I will tell it late), and my SEVIS fee document that ensures my payment. She checked everything and asked me to go till the Fiscal queue. I need to wait for more a time (I don't know how many), and so I went to a room with the metal detector. I couldn't pass trow that... because of my shoes! So my advice to you is : "Please, don't go with a metal shoes. You will ask to take off your shoes..." . I did that, I took of my shoes and delivered it to the guard man. My stuffs into a box were passed through their machine and I could leave those room and followed the red stripes on the floor.
When I arrived other main hall, the post woman asked me to show the same documents: DS-2019, SEVIS fee and Passport. I went to a queue called INTAKE. It was my first time taking the USA visa, so I need to do some steps.
I got Intake queue and the woman asked me to take my fingers digits. I did and I was asked to do till Interview queue. I wait a looooooooot of time in that queue. Till finally my turn came!
The woman in the box asked me to pass my passport and DS-2019, anything else!
We had a conversation about my actual job, my family and why I wanted to go to USA, everything in English...
Well, I was good succeeded, so I got my VISA approved! <3
TIP: When you go to the consul, keep calm while you are talking with the American Consul, another advice is: if your conversation is taking soooo long, the consul may expecting anything isn't going right. You need to pass confidence and reality to them. ;)
I wish you guys good look!
Tsai.

I lost myself looking for the CASV spot!
Hello guys!
The CASV days was very busy! I needed to go to two diffetent places and running against the awful traffic on the road.
Sao Paulo is the bigger city in Brazil and we have a lot of car on the street in it.
I was by motorcycle with my stepfather and we needed do run with Waze app because we didn't know the place.
Was very fanny in other hand, but I was fear of take late or do something wrong.
Well but my experience was fine, I arrived in São Paulo early that I thought. I went to Cultural Care at Av. Brig. Luis Antônio, 4.701 – Jardim Paulista, 01401-002 - São Paulo / SP and took my travel kid with Cibele. While we were seeing our documents I saw that my Fly Date was wrong (with the laste date before the second change - I will talk about it late if you guys want) so I said to her that we got a problem and she said me that the right document will be sent to me any way and I will need to walk with those two papers.
I just walked up to the main hall the guy at the gate took my documents and checked. I climbed the stairs and reached the first floor.
I followed the painted arrows on the floor and the guard woman took my documents and checked against them and send me to another guard man. I took a pic, my digitals and left the spot.
I did all that less then 10 min.
U.U
I called to Cibele to know about my new paper with the consul assign. She asked me to wait till her call. I did it and after 10 min she turn to call me and said that my new paper was avaliable. So we went back to to the Cultural Care agency.
We got some problems with the Internet access and the GPS but we could reach the place before she left to the lunch time.
Well, resuming we spent half a day to do everything but now I have all that I need to be in peace and go to my consul interview on the Friday in the morning.
Guys, wish me luck!
Tsai

Thanks to reading my post and see'ya soon!

Tsai.

Tsai
